MUNICIPAL MARKET
In 1923 the "Zamná" Market was inaugurated, for the supply of the city, which in the middle of the century was filled by street stalls selling various products. Almond trees were planted around it and concrete benches were installed. The market worked until 1970 when it was demolished to build in its place a park dedicated to Fray Diego de Landa with a statue of him on top of a pile of stones in the northeast corner, said statue remained there until 1985 when it was moved to the square "2 de abril".
